THE DODFORD SHOW - SATURDAY 5th SEPTEMBER. 

🥕The countdown is on — excitement is building for this year’s Dodford Show!                                                                                  It’s been a very difficult year for fruit, veg and flowers but bring what you can and don’t forget there’s also preserves, baking and craft classes to enter too.

🌻 SUNFLOWER CHALLENGE. This year we’re looking for the tallest sunflower and the largest sunflower head.So, if you’ve grown one, either bring it along to the Village Hall or take a photo with a tape measure clearly showing its height and the size of its head and bring the photo instead.

Entry is just £2, or FREE if you bought a sunflower seedling at the Summer Fete. Also, FREE entry for kids.

Don’t forget that when the judging is finished, everyone in the community is warmly invited to the Village Hall from 3.00pm (FREE ENTRY) to enjoy the wonderful displays.

It’s the perfect chance to catch up with friends and neighbours over a cup of tea or coffee  and of course a slice of delicious WI homemade cake.

There will also be a raffle, produce box auction and the presentation of the Phil Richardson Community Recognition Award 2026, celebrating someone who has made a real difference in our village.

Reminder for members: If you can spare an hour, please come along on Friday 4th September at 2.30pm to help set up tables and get the hall ready for the Show. Every pair of hands makes a big difference.

Please can all 2025 Cup Winners return the Cup that they were awarded to Lorraine or Penny or make contact so that we have the Cups back before this year’s Show.
