Hampton Gardens

A heartfelt thank you to Lorraine for organising the Dodford Gardening Club and Residents’ coach trip to Hampton Gardens and Frank Mathews Nursery. From start to finish, it was a brilliant day out with sunshine, stunning gardens, and great company all wrapped into one. The vibrant borders and peaceful water features gave us all plenty to admire and let’s just say the nursery was far too tempting for many… with new leafy treasures making their way on to the coach for the journey home. A perfect day in every sense!

Summer Dates for your Diary

Dodford Village Fete - Sunday 6th July

Please can members help provide a fantastic assortment of plants to sell on the Gardening Club stall. All plants can be dropped off at the stall on Fete Day or contact Lorraine or Penny to make alternative arrangements.

If you haven't plants to donate do not worry please still come along and say hello, you may find a treasure or two that you simply can't resist. Fete opens at 1.00pm - find us behind Dodford Church in the Field.

Members Social Evening - Monday 14th July from 6.30pm

Join us for a relaxed summer evening in the garden!

We’re thrilled to invite all members and their partners to the July meeting, hosted by Katherine and Luke Mulekezi in their beautiful garden at Priory Cottage.

Come along to enjoy a leisurely stroll among the blooms, a glass of wine in hand, and the warm company of friends - both old and new. It promises to be a lovely evening in a truly charming setting.

The Dodford Show - Saturday 6th September

🌻 Join the Fun at The Dodford Village Show! 🌻

It’s time to roll up your sleeves and get involved in one of Dodford’s most cherished traditions - the Dodford Show! Whether you're a green-fingered gardener, a kitchen whizz, a crafty creator or just love a bit of friendly competition, there’s a class for you.

Organised by the Dodford Gardening Club and Dodford WI, this Produce Show welcomes entries from across the village and neighbouring communities. With categories for amateur growers, bakers, jam makers, crafters and even a few fun ones for the kids-everyone has a shot at glory!

Trophies and prize cards are up for grabs, plus there are a couple of special classes with actual prize money. So, whether you're a WI legend or brand new to showing off your skills, come and give it a go!

There will be tea and delicious home-made WI cakes, a raffle, and the ever-popular produce auction.

Dodford Show Trophies - Reminder

Please can all 2024 Cup Winners return the Cup that they were awarded to Lorraine or Penny or make contact so that we have the Cups back before this year’s Show. 

Also, don't forget to get them engraved with your name and year won.
