Summer Outings
Broughton Grange Gardens and Whichford Pottery

The large private gardens at Broughton Grange have Victorian origins, they combine traditional planting with extensive contemporary design. Highlights include the Chelsea Gold Medal–winner Tom Stuart‑Smith’s walled garden designed in 2001. Enclosed by clipped trees, it features three terraces and a rill that leads to a central stone tank. Broughton Grange also includes a knot garden, a wildflower meadow and an arboretum along with a stumpery, woodland garden and rose garden.

Whichford Pottery is a unique traditional working pottery. We will be able to explore their complete range of flowerpots, enjoy the seasonal planting displays, stroll through the courtyard garden, visit the Shop, or grab a coffee and cake at The Straw Kitchen.
